Choose Yourself

 One of the proudest moments I experienced in 2024 was choosing myself and putting me first. We often fall into the detrimental trap of prioritizing things or other people more than ourselves. Making yourself a priority doesn’t mean being selfish or inconsiderate of others; rather, it means being mindful of how you feel about situations or circumstances and being comfortable with doing what’s best for you. We have all been given the power to make decisions and choose our actions. If you don’t consider how you feel, you will always end up at a disadvantage, as no one else has the power to decide for you. People who don’t make themselves a priority are often miserable because they give more than they receive, depleting the things that should energize and empower them to keep going in life. Our families, careers, friends, businesses, etc., are important, but we should never give so much of ourselves that we lose sight of what matters to us as human beings with our own needs to fulfil ...
